AQA Language Paper 2 Section A (low ability)
Small series of lessons based on introducing Language Paper 2 Section A.
Students who were in the class were a mix of LPA, SEN and EAL.
KS3 Poetry: Animal Poetry
Lessons aimed at year 8 students looking at ‘Animal Poetry’
5 lessons included: Peacock by Ted Hughes, Hyena by Edwin Mogan, Jaguar by Ted Hughes, The Tyger by William Blake and The Mower by Philip Larkin
The Mower lesson does exist purely for a certain class I taught at the time - I told them about the poem and they didn’t believe it exists so I made a lesson on it.

Scheme of work based on An Inspector Calls for AQA GCSE English Literature
The class this SOW was made for consisted of 15 students who were SEN and early stage 1 EAL.
I have also included some of the translated resources I have available (Ukrainian, Turkish and some Italian)

Full SOW aimed at Year 7, exploring Phillip Pullman’s adaptation of Frankenstein
Romeo and Juliet SOW
SOW designed for Year 10 students studying Romeo and Juliet for the AQA English Literature GCSE
KS3: Of Mice and Men Low Ability
SOW designed for a class of year 9 students which included multiple ECHP, SEN, EAL students who had issues with information retention and recall.

SOW based on the film ‘Cry Freedom’
Watching the film is broken down with questions and is designed to have students engage with topics surrounding racism.
Crossing the Line Literacy Scheme of Work
Scheme of work designed to promote reading for pleasure and literacy
Uses the 2023 poetry novel ‘Crossing the Line’ by Tia Fisher.
The novel was chosen for it’s topic of county lines and does cover a number of sensitive issues for students to explore.
