Maths Mini Tests and Assessments (x56) - GCSE levelling (plenaries)

Maths Mini Tests and Assessments (x56) - GCSE levelling (plenaries)

(2)
This is 56 different Mini Tests or Assessments with GCSE 9 to 1 or 9-1 levelling. These were created for two specific reasons. Firstly because generic test packages are expensive and generally rubbish and full or mistakes. Secondly, students do not like to do long tests constantly and it is often a poor use of classroom or lesson time. These mini-tests are normally 5/6 quick questions that are designed to give a quick snapshot of understanding of a topic. They come with ANSWERS and students can mark themselves or each other in class. This relieves the pressure of constant marking and gives much more detailed feedback to teachers and students of strengths and weaknesses of different topics. As these are short and pupils can get instant feedback on their score they much much prefer them. Also included is a spreadsheet with actual data of what the data might look like if you use them. However, how you choose to mark or collect the data can obviously vary. Conditional formatting is a great way to highlight scores which were below average or to find lower outliers for intervention. The file is set up to find any pupil who is below one standard deviation from the average.
