Bell Curve Spreadsheet for Assessment Grades

(0)
A simple to use spreadsheet where you can paste raw scores, or percentages of a class, year, or whole group and it will use a normal distribution to create a Bell Curve of the data, and also produce tables to map scores to grades. There is an instructions tab to guide you through using, and feel free to feedback on TES and I will aim to help with any issues.

Equation of a line from gradient and one coordinate

(1)
Matching game for equations to lines on a graph, Goes through how to find the gradient of a line when given two coordinates then onto how to find the equation of a line when you have the gradient and one point. Examples for students to go through alongside teacher, then questions for them to attempt. RAG rating slide near end to gage student progress, along with final extension question for them to try.

Gradient of a Straight Line

(1)
Lesson going through what the gradient of a line can be described as, discussion for students, slides going through positive and negative gradient. Begins by 'counting' the difference in y coordinates, and dividing it by the difference in the x coordinates. This goes onto discovering the formula for the gradient of a straight line when given two points. Practice questions with most slides and a final challenge questions after a slide on RAG ratings of students.

Plotting Linear and Quadratic Graphs

(2)
This notebook goes through plotting linear graphs with a table of values and allows students to discover different aspects of a linear graph, such as the gradient, and the y-intercept. There are follow up slides of quadratic graphs, using the same initial method of a table for plotting. This will also allow students to investigate what the effects are on changing the coefficients of x, and the constant being added.
