Plantlife is the charity that works to increase awareness, understanding and conservation of wild plants both in the UK and abroad. Through developing education resources, working directly with schools and providing training for teachers Plantlife helps to ensure that children access, enjoy, explore and understand the nature on their doorstep. All resources are aimed at Key Stage 2 but can easily be differentiated for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 3. An annual survey, Bee Scene, is supported by a cross curricular education pack and encourages children to investigate their local green space and decide whether it is good for bumblebees or not. Teachers can sign up to a termly newsletter which is themed around habitats and accompanied by a series of practical fieldwork investigations and experiments and supports scientific learning and education for sustainable development.
