Spanish Viva 1 Module 1 LESSON 1 An interactive PowerPoint lesson to recap or introduce Viva 1 Module 1: greetings/name/where you live/how are you. It covers the vocabulary in the module and has in-built extension. Reading/speaking/writing skills covered plus a noughts and crosses game. There are notes in the slides for guidance on how to deliver the activities, also.

Jigsaw pieces for pupils to develop simple writing about themselves. Useful to help develop independence in writing: you may wish to use it as a crib sheet. It could act as a speaking aide-mémoire also. See also my Tout sur Moi template which has sentence beginnings to support weaker pupils.

Drills to consolidate the past of "ir". Great for a substitute teacher to deliver as the class can work through the activities independently.

Handy two-sided sheets of times tables cards for pupils to cut out and work with to increase confidence and knowledge. Make sure you remember to print double-sided or you'll have to get them to glue them all.... :)

A wordsearch containing a hidden message (shown on second sheet so you may only want to print sheet two for yourself!). I left out the accents in the wordsearch to make it harder. You could ask the class to translate the words and the hidden message. Probably best for higher ability or KS4. For upwards differentiation, use translation or creation of own hidden messages.

Saint Valentin: message secret. A word search with a hidden message. See second page for this (you might not want to print a class set of this page!). Probably suitable for higher ability as you could ask them to do all sorts with it like translating/writing own message etc.

A simple Mother’s Day card in Spanish.

A two page French “test” for reading and writing. Good for Y7 once covered name, age, pets, hair, eyes, j’habite, opinions or as a low ability test for Y8 for recapping/consolidation. Mainly gapfill and matching but does have an open writing on the second page.

A board game for KS3 on opinions, questions, tapas foods. Updated! I've done a slide of vocab' for low ability in case anyone needs it.

French Easter work booklet suitable for Y7. Covers lots of Easter vocabulary in French and lists it at the end so they can work independently - ideal for cover lessons or less teacher input when you need some time.
