It was used as a homework and has been set as cover work for Year 10 and 11 higher tier classes.
KS3 Boiling and Evaporation
Whole lesson aimed at Year 7 students on the differences between Evaporation and Boiling.
I found that this is a large misconception in a lot of students and so added a lesson into my plan to challenge it.
This lesson was used with a large range of abilities.
The demo is watching a beaker of water boil on a Bunsen burner and watching a beaker of water evaporate on the surface.
KS3 Expansion and Contraction
KS3 Chemistry lesson aimed at Year 7 students investigating the expansion and contraction of substances at different temperatures. Includes the collapsing can experiment and the ball and ring showing the expansion of solids and the contraction of gases.
