The presentation starts with a game of Double Your Money: students have £10 to start with, and have to bet some of that money on whether they will get a Maths question right. If they get it right, they win the amount of money that they bet; if they get it wrong they lose the money. The presentation includes a link to suitable questions. The slide that shows how to work out half using counters is animated and will play when clicked. You can buy the full lesson (lesson plan, presentation and any worksheets) on my page.

Maths Quiz 2019

(4)
A Maths quiz useful for the end of term, or just when you want to do something fun. Each category has 2 levels: an easy-ish first level and a more challenging second one, so you can adapt to different ages and abilities. There are several categories, with 5 questions in each. The category slide has hyperlinks to the first question of each category. The questions test knowledge and Maths skills. There is one Rotherham specific question (where I teach) and some 2019 specific ones. The answers for the latter will need to be adjusted for different years.
