This is a writing and speaking reference sheet that I created for my GCSE German group. I wanted to challenge them all to include higher level opinion phrases, outstanding idiomatic expressions, as well as a variety of tenses, adjectives and sequencers. I prepared this booklet for a student of mine to work on individually. She had missed a lot of school and needed something to help ease her back into mainstream school. 10 page booklet with vocabulary and grammar explanations It covers the first 2 double pages in the Stimmt GCSE German Kapital 1, startpunkt. This would also be good for year 9 transition or for SEN students to access the materials in a more manageable way. May be more suited to lower ability students

Thank you for looking at my resource. To create this, I have recycled key vocabulary from the EDEXCEL GCSE German 2023 reading paper (F and H). In the texts, pupils will come across unknown vocabulary in another context and can work on analysing and consolidating their knowledge. I have used the texts in my lessons to model exam technique, and to get students engaging with texts. At the end of a lesson on the first of these texts, students could recall with confidence the meanings of 29 words in the text, that had caused them difficulties in their mock paper. There are 4 texts with comprehension activities and then a collection of 7 other texts, which are available for your to use as you see best for your classes
