The teacher will rectify any misunderstanding or gaps in knowledge. 2. Discussion will help assess the class’ understanding of reasons to punish as well as the UK’s forms of punishment. 3. Pupils will provide understanding of what a crime is. Through peer assessment, the crimes will be prescribed appropriate punishments according to the pupils understanding of Christian views and their own opinion.

This lesson has the pupils engage with the understanding of David Hume’s view on miracles. Pupils must become sceptics and can analyse either a traditional miracle or a modern religious miracle. Pupils will look at the works of other philosophers and relate the views researched to their own personal views regarding miracles.
