5 minute activity for each session in Spring 1.
Aim is to recap the basic skills taught in Year 1 and Year 2 in starter form.
Answers included for children to self assess. Most tasks are differentiated by colour.
I've included the overview planning for the terms over the year (subject to change)
P.S. I do automatically include mistakes on some of my slides to promote the children to think for themselves and challenge or correct me. Even if these are accidental I leave them on for future uses. We are working on our 'growth mindset' and how learning happens through mistakes - including the teachers.

We stick these into their homework books and they work through the wilfs.
The focus of the WILFs is showing how you know in a variety of ways, rather than getting the answer right.
I use this as warm ups or when I have a free 5 minutes. I get the children to self-mark, create their own and then set their friends challenges.
Great for recapping key skills regularly without additional work load.

I've uploaded my White Rose 'Statistics' Spring Block 3 planning, including resources. Week 1 of 2.
I've uploaded my Week 2 of 2 planning here - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/new-white-rose-planning-year-3-spring-block-3-statistics-incl-resources-week-2-of-2-11822736
The starter activities referred to I've uploaded separately (they're on a power point). - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783
This is my own personal planning which I'll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it's not made specifically for TES.
I've made a PPT of the key 20 number facts (number sentences) that bridge 10. I use this to model on ten frames how to recombine to make 10.
I've added animations to show the transition and movement of the coins.
e.g. 8 + 7
10 + 5
= 15
Hopefully you find it useful!
I use these for 5 minutes at the start of a maths lesson and children then mark it themselves in less than a 1 minute.
I do put deliberate mistakes on most slides to prompt my class to challenge me if they get a different answer and to promote growth mindset - I’m always learning as well as them. Either I’ve made a mistake and I learn, or they’ve made the mistake and they learn.

I’ve also uploaded the resources & WALTs ready to be printed separately to match this planning. I’ve also included a variety of mini maths sessions (57 separate activities) based on the NFR Y3 Autumn assessment papers.
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Money’ Spring Block 2 planning, including resources.
Hopefully it will save somebody else some time! The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point).

Hi there,
In case anyone needed a rough long term plan for numeracy coverage (revisits, main teaches and vocab) for Year 1 I thought I'd upload this in case it's useful.
A resource I've made to help the children in my class recognise and use the pattern 1 more, 1 less, 10 more and 10 less on a 100 square. In addition with their knowledge of partitioning this helps them add and subtract 2 digit numbers.
