We used this to introduce the topic of bones being living, then we got students to make an edible bone at home and they evaluated it in school before eating it. This led onto the OCR practice assessment on bones from their website. It looked at the strength of bones by packing them with different materials

This scheme was written to make the Btec course more practical based and fun and it lead to a trip to the think tank in Birmingham where we made our own professional fingerprints and completed a forensics day
