A whole school assembly for KS2 and KS3 that explains in child friendly language what is meant by ‘Child on Child’ abuse, to raise awareness of the different forms it takes and to let children know what to do if it happens to them. There is also a lesson on child on child abuse if you would like to teach this in more detail. The staff statement can be used in a staff briefing or email to ensure that staff understand what the term means, The pupil statement can be shared with children (KS2 and 3) and discussed in class. All documents can be personalised to your school and shared on your website. The approach was praised by OFSTED in our 2023/4 inspection. All documents are fully editable.

The first half of the lesson uses a Primary source (letter) to unpick who Darwin was and to ask questions about his character and motivations. During the second half of the lesson, the students will compile a timeline of his greatest achievements and life events. All resources are included, and although extra research could be included to expand the timelines, all the information about the main events in his life, are included in the resources.
