This resource is designed to raise awareness and encourage open debate about bullying among primary children, specifically KS2. It can be used in PSHE lessons or as part of a themed week like Anti Bullying week. You can pick up this resource and teach easily. There are 3 sessions to cover, which could be delivered across a full day or across a week. This resource is more than just establishing what bullying is. It helps children to establish and discuss in greater detail, the types of bullying, with a particular emphasis on the most common types of bullying that affects primary children. It goes further to identify what to do to get help and how to help yourself. Each session has a teaching PowerPoint, with opportunities to talk and discuss, with opportunities for extra challenge. ALL SESSIONS INCLUDE WEBLINKS WITH VIDEOS TO WATCH. Every session has a follow up activity, which is differentiated and designed to embed the learning from that session. All resources are included and ready to use and can be edited easily, if required. SESSION 1: Defining bullying and identifying types of bullying. Follow up activity: Storyboarding activity SESSION 2: Cyberbullying, including how to keep safe online. Follow up activity: Creating stay safe online posters SESSION 3: Social & verbal bullying. Follow up activity: Creating drama to show the different types of social bullying.
