B/w copies: I have also included black and white copies of the clip cards which can be used as task cards. Suggestion: Cut out the b/w copies and paste into workbooks or on worksheets for students to complete, e.g. they only colour in the pictures that begin with the letter sound.

Reading comprehension and questions with associated activities
Extra work on digraphs - complete a medial digraph worksheet
Worksheets A to H: Students read the simple sentences and then circle the correct digraph for each sentence and write it in the blank space to complete the word.
Reading comprehension activities: Sections A, B and C
First students should read the text which contains missing digraphs (You will have a Teacher’s Copy). Once they have inserted the missing digraphs, they reread the text and answer 9 questions.
Section C: This is extension work/worksheet for early finishers
The worksheet contains missing medial consonant digraphs with pictures. Students should fill in the missing digraphs.
Optional activity on reading comprehension for differentiation:
In small groups or one-to-one teaching, students could read the text only and fill in the missing digraphs as a group and then discuss the questions.

Set 2: Write the Room with differentiated recording sheets with a set of numbered Polar animal cards 1 to 20.
Worksheets 1 to 6: Multiple choice
Preparation is required for the write the room activities. Laminate for long use and cut apart the picture cards to be placed around the classroom. There are two sets of pictures cards.
The unnumbered cards are used with worksheets A to E. You can decide which worksheets to hand out and select the picture cards that are on the worksheets for students to find and write the name of the animals.
