This single phonics pack focuses on beginning consonant blends ‘tw’ words that contain consonant, consonant, vowel, consonant letters.
A natural progression from CVC and CCV to CCVC Phase 4: Letters and Sounds Principles and Practice.
Aimed at: Early Years and keystage 1, SEND and ESL/EFL students.
It is an addition to my other resources on initial consonant blends.
You can decide to put in 15 mins phonics, 30 mins or longer as this is an easy- to- follow flexible resource as are the others.
This last pack relating to initial consonant blends CCVC words contains:
Flexible Lesson Plan with learning objectives, lesson starter, main activities and plenary - You can choose which parts are relevant to your class. PowerPoint slides are referred to in the plan for whole group activities.
PowerPoint Presentation 1 (29 Slides)- includes explanation of initial blend, CCVC words; making words, sorting jumbled words and also includes alien and real word whole class activity.
PowerPoint Phoneme Presentation (9 Slides) - Optional (Use as reference) - some children may still be struggling with segmenting/blending).
I have listed CCVC words and the units of sound above the fingers so that children can see and hear the separate phonemes (with pictures).
Children can verbalize simple sentences with a selection of tw-ccvc words.

Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school stationery.
Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost.
Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money?
Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school stationery cost.
Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less does the sharpener cost than the ruler? etc.
The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10 cents.
Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 30 cents. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price.
Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 20 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought.

Aimed at: Reception/KS1

Description of resources:
• Set 1 Worksheets – Select the correct initial letters for pictures;
• Set 2 Worksheets – Select 6 correct initial letters out of the 8 from the rectangle to write below the pictures ;
• Set 3 Worksheets – Select correct initial capital letter from circle to complete each word;
• Set 4 Worksheets – Each box contains two pictures beginning with the same initial letters. Students write the initial alphabet letter for the pictures.
• Set 5 Worksheets – Fill in the missing letter to complete the word then rewrite the whole word in capital letters.
• Set 6 Worksheets – The pictures in each box start with different initial alphabet letters. Students write the initial letters below each picture in their best handwriting to practise mid-zone letters, ascender and descender letters. A lovely addition to your phonics lesson to support phonic work.
It consists of 2 sets of 54 worksheets together with picture and word cards in color and black and white.
Teacher’s Notes included for suggested activities.
Students look at the picture and say what it is. Then they color in the letters that make that word. When they have colored in the letter, the children rearrange them to spell the word and write it on the handwriting guide line.
If some students get stuck, I have included word cards with the same pictures which you can put in the middle of the table for the students to find that matching picture that is also on the worksheet. With the help of the card, students can color in the correct letters on the worksheet.

- Set 3 - 20 Task Cards (green) - Very useful activity for students to reinforce their knowledge of number bonds to 10. Students quickly work out their answers by adding the two numbers that add up to 10 and then count on the third number.

This resource is a 1 hour lesson on The Good Samaritan parable.
Aimed at: Keystage 1/Lower KS2.

- PowerPoint Presentation (23 Slides) - Contains the parable and whole class activities and Plenary. Children and listen and interact with the story - listening and speaking.
Recap comprehension questions at the end of the parable in preparation for children to do independent work.
