As a Secondary teacher of French and Spanish, I put a great deal of effort into creating useful resources that are accessible for lower ability pupils as well as challenging the more able. I currently teach in Scotland and follow the National curriculum at all levels - N3, N4, N5, Higher and Advanced Higher. All resources can be easily amended to suit GCSE and A-Level pupils.

This package contains 6 motivational quotes that can be printed and displayed in your classroom. The quotes are provided in both Spanish and English and brighten up the room, while exposing pupils to some common Spanish phrases.
Hanging the Spanish next to the English can help with understanding, or they could be placed separately around the room for pupils to work out which ones match-up.
The quotes are:
todo es posible - everything is possible
la vida es un viaje, no una carrera - life is a journey, not a race
no escondas tu talento - don’t hide your talent
no somos perfectos, pero somos felices - we are not perfect, but we are happy
si lo puedes soñar, lo puedes hacer - if you can dream it, you can do it
persigue tus sueños - follow your dreams

This is a game that can be used in class to learn/revise family relationships, personality adjectives and opinion phrases.
The game rules are:
Each group is allocated a set of phrases (I would suggest putting the words in an envelope, a small bag or a small box)
The teacher plays music (I would suggest a Spanish music playlist from YouTube)
The students pass around the envelope at the table
When the music stops, the student holding the envelope must take out a phrase and attempt to translate it
If they translate it accurately, they can keep the phrase but if it is incorrect, they must put it back into the envelope
The game continues until all of the pieces have been removed, or the teacher decides that the game is complete
The student with most pieces on their desk at the end is the winner in each group
Students will be very engaged with the game, as they have the chance to listen to music while working in a group.
Once printed, the pieces could be laminated before cutting them out and the game should last for a very long time!
This set includes:
1 x Colour-coded version that can be printed out for 6 groups
1 x Black and white version that can be printed as many times as is necessary for the number of groups.
