15 slides to revise the AQA Power and Conflict poetry anthology. Each slide asks students to consider the how the title of the poem links to the last line. Great for a quick 5 minute burst of poetry revision at the beginning or end of the lesson.

The aim is to introduce students to the format of the exam and teach them the skills needed to analyse unseen prose extracts to be able to answer questions 1-3.
The scheme of work focuses on extracts from the opening of 'Fahrenheit 451', 'From Russia With Love' and 'The Night Circus' - I have not been able to upload these due to copyright restrictions but they are available online. My students have struggled to get to grips with the structure question (question 3) on the new Paper 1, Section A exam for AQA. I recently attended an AQA support meeting and planned this lesson to incorporate some of the exam board's messages with regards to teaching the structure question. My students produced mucher better responses to question 3 after I went through this lesson with them.
The lesson is focused on the opening of '1984' and includes 15 slides plus a copy of the extract to use with students.
