A textual study of Romeo and Juliet (using the Real Reads edition as a stimulus). Outcomes include: description of an action scene character description using abstract nouns setting description using prepositional phrases persuasive letters

Vocabulary cards for ‘The Raven’ by Edgar Allan Poe. Can be used to support vocabulary-building, guided reading or English. Much of the language is challenging/ old English so the cards will support pupils to gain a clearer understanding of the poem.

Vocabulary cards for ‘Malamander’ by Thomas Taylor. Can be used to support vocabulary-building, guided reading or English. Otherwise, it could simply be used to support the sharing of ‘Malamander’ as your class story. A couple of slides may need a bit of editing/ tweaking.
