This lesson has been planned inline with the new AQA GCSE PE 9-1 specification. The lesson covers section 1 of the Health, fitness and well-being unit: 3.2.3.1 Physical, emotional and social health, fitness and well-being. This can be taught as one or two lessons.
The lesson is fully differentiated and includes example higher order questioning in the teacher notes section of each slide. The lesson allows for rapid student progress by a varied approach of content, tasks and further 'challenges'. It also allows students to apply knowledge to exam questions.
A thoroughly planned unit of work consisting of three comprehensive PowerPoint lessons covering the whole of the 'Impact of commercialisation on physical activity and sport and the relationship between sport and the media' unit. This is part of the Year 2, 3.2.4.7 Sport & Society module, planned in line with the AQA A-Level PE spec first taught September 2016. Inspirational, motivational assembly, this assembly looks at the success of Mo Farah. This can be delivered to Key Stage 3 or 4- this could be adapted for Primary if required. This could be delivered within an assembly slot, or within Tutor Time. This assembly focuses on Mo Farah’s background story, there is information about his family and the adversity that he faced, it then looks at his success and what makes a good role model. It also includes key questions to discuss. This assembly ensures that students understand the importance of hard work and resilience, delivering an important message to your students.
