To help get my classes exam ready I have made the exam spec pupil friendly and put it into a overview document so they can see on 1 page what knowledge is expected in each exam paper.
As a task I then give them the blank curriculum overview and a sheet of paper with the exam spec spread out randomly in boxes. They use this to fit the exam spec into the correct areas. They mark themselves how they have done for each paper. I repeat the same process every other week.
I also do this task but using just the key words for each of the sections.
I’ve found it has really helped identify gaps in knowledge and get pupils more exam ready than they ever have been.
All resources for this task are included. Hope it helps!
