All about me transition activity - PDF and Powerpoint version. You will need to download the fonts online. I found them from a free website ‘FontSpace’. Once you download and open it into Powerpoint, you will be able to find the name of the font by clicking on the text. All boxes can change colour to match your school and theme!
This is a copy of my morning boards. You can edit them completely to match your school and timetable. I made these myself using Ppt. The quotes are images from Google - Easy to copy and paste for personal classroom use (I could not share these online). Everything in the ppt. file is created by me and below is an explanation of how to access the fonts and background.
All money raised will go straight to buying resources and books for my classroom :) Thank you so much for looking! I have other resources available that are free!
Fonts
To find the fonts included you need to open the ppt. file. Then, click on the text. When you have clicked on the text, the name of the font should appear in the box where you choose your fonts. Copy and paste that name and search for it using the free font website ‘Fontspace’.
Background
To create different backgrounds you need to go to ‘Design’ and then ‘Format Background’ then ‘Fill’, ‘Pattern and Texture fill’ then copy and paste your image. I have included here only images which are labelled for reuse.
If you would like to match the image shown you it is available on rawpixel and is named ‘Abstract pastel Memphis’ - there are lots of free images available for reuse on there :)
Class Bingo - With a twist!
So I decided to ‘up the ante’ on the classic first day Bingo game.
Rather than the children simply walking up to each and every individual and asking them ‘Do you have a dog?’ or ‘Have you got size 1 feet?’, this version instead focuses on building relationships.
The children will first write their own responses to some fun, simple questions. Then, the children will have to find someone with the matching interests as theirs as well as some boxes which they will have to find someone with different interests. This box prompts them to also write down that difference. It is like the classic but it promotes more conversation and meaningful discussion.
There is a quote which says ‘Share our similarities. Celebrate our differences’ - M Scott Peck. We will use this as a discussion point to celebrate that we are all unique!
This is a pdf version so is ready to print out and enjoy! No faffing with downloading fonts or images - it is completely ready to go!
A fully editable back to school safety talk for 2020 with the coronavirus.
Here I have included information that our school will be using to help children stay safe:
Handwashing
Bubbles
Resources
Break Times
Lunch Times
Cleaning
And more!
It is clear and simple for the children to follow - edit the text to suit your school and the measures which you are going to use to help them.
I will be using this on the first day back with my class, to make sure that I go through everything thoroughly and to make sure I don’t forget anything!
The font used is ‘ModernLove’ which is a free Microsoft font. If you are not up to date with the latest version of Ppt/Word, you can download it from their website :)
