I created these writing statements for my school - children have them attached to their English books on the inside of their front page. Each year group have examples of grammar and punctuation in red. Ks1 also have visual examples - fingers to remind children to sound out words and use finger spaces. There is also a list of the year groups common exception words for children and teachers to refer to. Teachers highlight these as the children complete termly writing assessments. Year 2 & Year 6 have a section to date for moderation purposes!
