Progress monitoring booklets for Further Additional Science - Chemistry C3 A list of the various objectives for each of the topics in the Further Additional Science Unit. Students can show progress against what they know about a topic at the start and then at the end of a unit. This can then be used to produce a personalised revision programme for the student. Alternative way of being used, is to print on stickers and use in books.

The idea works that students should know the foundation building blocks around the edge of the page. The task therefore is to work inwards and begin to summarise these key points in the middle, only focusing on the things they have forgotten. The final task is to get this all on to a postcard - their revision notes to take away! This makes it all manageable for the student. This is one topic only and the full unit can be downloaded as a complete file.

Revision loop card activity for Additional Physics. Students need to cut out the cards and then sequence them so that the question on one card matches the answer on the next one. If the student get them correct, it will form a loop. The answer sheet is also provided so that you can quickly check response and identify any mistakes made by the student(s). A great activity to challenge students - who is quickest; to assess students and highlight misconceptions. Loop cards include questions about: atomic structure, bonding, ionic, covalent

KS3 Revision mind map for the rock cycle - reversed mind mapping

This task is designed for students to work backwards and reduce their notes for revision. Around the outside of the page are the key facts and information that are needed for the topic. Students need to condense these and/or find out more about these and make notes in the white space. Finally students then need to highlight the keywords and put then in the box in the centre. The format is designed to convince students that they do not need to make pages and pages of notes and instead can put all their notes on the back of a post card. This task is great followed up by a loop card activity to test knowledge or apply straight to some exam questions.
