A lesson that I created to teach students in Year 9 how to compose Leit Motifs for characters and also “accompanying” music for an extended film sequence, using two contrasting genres of film music. The lesson includes a PowerPoint, Audio Clips, Edited Movie Clips and Composition Sheets.

A one-off lesson which I developed from a PowerPoint I was given back in 2010, combined with a screenshot of a worksheet I was sent. I tested this lesson last week and the kids loved it!

Believe it or not, when asked which piece of pop music the pupils in my previous school wanted me to arrange for the school concert, THIS is what they requested. It was an AWESOME performance. Flexi-band type of arrangement, specifically for a Secondary School Orchestra. Easier parts so that everyone can play it well! Enjoy!!
