CVC words are a key tool in teaching and learning phonics. CVC words help introduce children to reading by using phonics to learn the sounds of the individual letters, and then blending those sounds into one three-letter word. This activity has a large picture and then 3 boxes underneath in which children can either write the word themselves or contract it using letters.
