This is a worksheet that I recently used in an observation lesson. It supports students in building up sentences so that they can write a short paragraph about school rules. I have added grading as this is required at my school. I find this hard to do for single sentences at GCSE in MFL so please feel free to remove this.

This activity can be printed either single sided or double sided. It is great for retrieval, checking for understanding and as a settler or a more excitable starter/activity in class. Slide 1 -includes a pronunciation activity on the “th” sound linked to numbers and a connect four game (numbers are translated to English. Slide 2 -includes the same activities with numbers being said into Spanish. Slide 3- is a self quiz sheet to learn the numbers.

This is a powerpoint and a worksheet lesson targeted at the introduction of opinion verbs and simple reasons. It was designed for Y7 but it is a fun way to revise opinions with any year group too.

This was made for a PHSE lesson. Students had to assess a presentation. The criteria incorporates elements of Blooms and key literacy skills for Speaking and Listening skills. The levels relate to positions in industry.

This lesson introduces the verb aller and also revises activities with common er verbs and faire alongside simple opinions. Ideal for Y7/8.

This lesson revises sport in the present and the imperfect tenses, time expressions and opinions. It also explains the use of depuis with the present and the imperfect tense. It includes a knowledge organiser on sport and a sheet of vocabulary to complete ate the end of the lesson with 30 translations on core vocabulary from French to English and then 30 from English to French. Other features are sentence builders with codes, write the highest scoring sentence as a starter. There are also notes at the bottom which explain how you can run activities either online or face to face within the classroom. Higher and foundation phrases are taught so it is ideal for a mixed ability group.
