This fun grammar game is a great starter for English beginners. Children are given the answer to a question and need to work out what the corresponding question is by reordering some jumbled words. Great for elementary ESL students to revise sentence construction.

This teaching resource is perfect for children who are learning English and want to learn about Pancake Day! The resource includes a listening exercise transcript for the teacher to read out, a quiz and a recipe for British pancakes.
The listening exercise will help students improve their listening skills and comprehension of English. After the exercise, the quiz will test their knowledge of what they have just listened to.
Also included is a simple recipe for British pancakes that children can make with an adult. This activity will not only improve their English language skills, but also their cooking skills!
By the end of this resource, children will have a basic understanding of Pancake Day, while also improving their English language skills.

This ‘Have and Has’ activity is an excellent way for your students to practise using has and have correctly in their own sentences. Students choose two cards from the PowerPoint and create their own silly sentence using ‘have’ or ‘had’. They could write it down or say it. I have used this resource with ESL students aged 6-11 but it could also work for older children.

This activity on adverbs is a great, entertaining starter or plenary for your KS2 English grammar lesson.
