Autumn Math Statistics Practice (Mean, Median, Mode, and Range)

(0)
This fall resource allows students to practice finding mean, mode, median, and range while answering jokes with their answers. Created for my GED students but great for all types of math review, including some elementary classrooms, and most middle school and high school groups. Four worksheets included: one for each mean, median, mode, and range. Students of all ages get excited over the approach of autumn, so they will delight in the colorful graphics and the chance to find the answer to the joke on each page. Great GED Prep since statistic questions can be found on 3 out of the 4 GED tests. Also great for HiSet preparation, special education classrooms, and gifted and talented students. Some suggested usages: Homework, independent work, end of the day activity, morning math, Bell Ringers, test prep, review, intro to a lesson. No prep needed. Just print and assign. Silly Sentences for GED Students: A Parts of Speech Review

(0)
This packet of silly sentences is modeled after the classic Mad Libs game. Made specifically for GED students, there are 10 GED-related stories. Learners begin by giving various parts of speech. Then, their teacher or partner uses their words to fill in the blanks. The result is sure to bring lots of laughs. Sample word lists are also included to get the creative juices flowing. Parts of speech included are adverbs, adjectives, nouns, verbs, and prepositions. This is a no-prep activity. Great to bring some instructional variety to the classroom and a wonderful microlearning exercise. Use as a class starter or as an activity for early finishers.
