I have taken all of the statutary spellings for years 3 and 4 from the new curriculum and then add some other words all from looking at the rules. This is for middle abilty more than any others! Thanks someone else for the template!

A planning and writing set of lessons aimed at year 3 (could be easily tweaked for KS2) for extended/Big Write. Chn plan a diary entry in the day of a Stone Age child. Includes notebook, WAGOLL (What a good one looks like) writing frames for planning. On the day I edited the plan depending on their ideas for further scaffold.

A Big Write/creative writing, linked to the Romans (Year 4 topic), although you don’t really need to have done too much on the topic. The unit of work includes: Notebook - The first few slides are SPAG, covering powerful verbs. The rest are planning your poem using your 5 senses. WAGOLL - A Roman poem using the 5 senses Success Criteria - Differentiated 3 ways and gets progressively harder. Planning for the poem LA/EAL writing frame.

Important words for verbal reasoning. Used for 11+ Grammar test. Downloaded from a website and made more user friendly. I photocopied onto A3 and laminated for multiple uses.

I had a go at planning the new curriculum for year 4. Resources are from a variety of different places - TES, Primary Resources etc (Thanks to all). Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Block D Unit 1 Year 4, lesson plan, and resources, including flipchart, homework set and beginning of unit assessmment. This is a collection I have made (NOT MY OWN RESOURCES) for the above unit. Includes week 1 lesson plan and resources. Year 4 class is from level 1 to level 4.

A whole school Moral Assembly on the story Lion and the mouse. Morals are: Little people can do great things, make the right choise and you will be rewarded and a friend in need is a friend indeed.

2 lessons on the Line of Symmetry of different shapes. Differentiated for levels 2 through to 4. Engaging lessons - Mirrors were really helpful to them. Interesting lessona that can also be done as a series of Art lessons, though these were 2 Maths lessons.
