**3 Target Boards ** 3 Target Boards: Whole Numbers, Decimal Numbers & Negative Numbers. The idea of Target Boards has been around for a long time and they are an effective way of working with numbers. How it works: Your student’s are presented with a grid of numbers and you say something like: Which numbers add up to make 20? How many multiples of 4 can you find? Give me two numbers that have a sum of 18. How many odd numbers are there? There are lots of variations you can do with this activity … split the class into two groups and get them to compete, individual time trials etc.
