I am a primary school teacher with a knack for teaching to the multiple intelligences, particularly the visual learner. My resources are inspired by my experience of teaching different students with unique ways of learning. I love the magic of helping them to make connections in learning. The grades 3-5 are mostly what I cater to, however, I also have some great resources for grades 1 and 2.

These Martin Luther King Jr. literacy activities has Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous 'I Have a Dream’ speech as the focus of this writing center. These are writing activities are also focused on the life of Martin Luther King Jr.
The first activity is a Q & A trivia about Martin Luther King Jr.'s life, based on a brief biography (included). The trivia questions are presented on the faces of cubes so the kinesthetic students can have fun rolling the cubes to get a question to answer. Verbal/linguistic minded students can make a game of it by answering orally OR introverted students can write the answers out on the color coded answer sheets provided. An answer key is included.
The second activity is focused solely on Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. In this activity, students go on a hunt to find his direct quotes from the speech. They can create an anthology of MLK quotes or write out their favorite quotes on mini placards. These can be put on display as a part of an Martin Luther King Jr. bulletin board display.
For Grades 3-5. 15 Pages.
Prefix Cards with Definitions Illustrations and Examples. Use these Illustrated Prefix Cards to keep your students engaged in fun activities that reinforce the definition of each prefix and examples of words that take on the meaning of the prefix when it is added to them.
Over two dozen of the most common prefixes are used in these cards, they are: mis, de, a, ab, abs, fore, tri, pre, re, dis, in, dif, semi, micro, ex, un, *im, sub, inter, pro, *im, tele, bi, super, under.
*Note that the prefix 'im-' has two meanings; one is 'into' and the other is 'not', so I have created two separate cards for the prefix 'im-'.
These cards are created in two different sizes. The original set has 8 cards per page and the larger set has 4 cards per page. The small set will save you ink and paper but many teachers have indicated to me that they preferred to have a larger set to make a bulletin board display. So, that's why I added the larger version.
For Grades 3-5. 13 Pages.
