Back to School Get to Know You Google Forms

Get access to 3 vibrant and unique editable Google Forms ready for back to school! Get to know your students on a deeper level, have fun with "this or that" quick fire questions and ask your students' parents some insightful questions too! You will also be able to see student responses live on screen and use this information to really get to know your students. Also very handy if you really don't want to be dealing with extra piles of paper this year! New to Google forms? Don't worry, I have also included an exclusive video to guide you through how to use these forms in your own classroom :) *** Hereā€™s a little background story as to why I created these Get to Know You Google forms: I recently took over a new class and I had a ā€œhand overā€ meeting with their former teacher to tell me more about them. She knew most of them well academically and behaviourally, however she floundered when asked about their personal interests and admitted she couldnā€™t tell me anything about some of themā€¦!? I wanted to make sure I knew something about every one of my kids, hence these Google forms were born! Youā€™re bound to learn something about each student if you actually make an effort to ask them (and the quiet ones might prefer to type it up rather than talk about it) and you can then use that information to help build relationships over time. This set contains 3 different forms for you. There are 2 forms for students: ā€¢ one goes deep on on their interests, fears and hobbies ā€¢ the other is a more laid back and fun school related ā€œthis or thatā€ game ā€¢ the third form is for the parents / guardians so you can start to build a relationship with them too by getting their perspective on their child, learn what they want from you and how they would like to be contacted etc. The Google Forms are attractive and vibrant and can be done in class or completed as homework on any device that is connected to the internet. I wish you a long and happy relationship with your new class this year!

Use for yourself or issue to your students to help them keep a journal of their life so they can reflect as well as set targets and track their progress to build positive habits. Weā€™re all so busy and we give so much to other people that self-care often goes on the back burner. Itā€™s crucial we take care of our well-being as it affects the way we feel and think, the way we cope with lifeā€™s challenges and how we can make the most of our potential.ā€‹ If we neglect to make an effort to take care of our well-being we can find ourselves stressed, jaded, unfulfilled or feeling trapped. After getting overwhelmed with life as a teacher, I started to set and track my progress in habits I wanted to create, as well as journaling. It has been essential in helping me form good habits and take care of my emotional state too. By recording my journey, I have been able to spot patterns in my mood over the course of a year and Iā€™m now able to plan ahead, manage my life effectively and look after my well-being. With this journal, you and your students can have that same control and emotional freedom! Journal includes: 70 pages Every page is hand rendered in zentangle style for mindful colouring Monthly journal pages for brief journaling Weekly journal pages for brief journaling Daily journal pages, both with prompts and plain for more detailed journaling Prompts encourage you to focus on achievement, self-care and future thoughts Daily tracker with 4 point system to monitor and review well-being each day Monthly gratitude jar keepsake to record daily joys 12 different zentangle themes for each month to add variety 4 different types of trackers: mood, sleep, exercise and one for your own habitsā€‹ Benefits: Itā€™s so easy to get caught up in day to day life that your well-being falls by the wayside but having somewhere to record your thoughts, feelings, memories and emotions puts these in the forefront of your mind ensuring you focus on them. Journaling has been proven to reduce physical disease symptoms and anxiety, enhance self-esteem and increase self-awareness. It can improve your self love and help you become really in tune with your own thoughts and emotions. Writing engages both the left and right side of the brain, enhancing problem solving capabilities. When you journal, you can go back and identify patterns to help you in the future as well as identify areas of personal growth to help you celebrate your successes. Cyber Bullying Awareness: Posters, Task Cards & Activities

Do you want to educate your students about the dangers of Cyber Bullying? It is a rising problem among teenagers and young people in this age of social media, so this resource will offer your students the opportunity to consider the dangers and effects of cyber bullying by encouraging them to discuss and reflect on realistic scenarios. I have used this resource on different groups of students from year 7-10 and it has proven effective for all ages. Itā€™s interesting that each age group has brought out its own conversations from this resource. I find it shocking how many young people (especially those below the required age of 13 to even have a social media account) are suffering from cyber bullying online and donā€™t yet have the skills to handle it. This resource has made a significant difference to my students and I can only hope they go on to spread the word to others! I hope that my resources save you hours and hours of time: something we always sacrifice so much of as teachers. ā¤
