This is a simple board game you can use to help your children reinforce their understanding of rhyming words. You will need to have a die and counters to use this game alongside the printable game board and game cards. The game has a game board which children move around and a game card. They need to identify if the word they land on rhymes with the word on their game card.

Starting sounds clip cards will help your child while they are learning phonics. They can be used as a literacy activity for your class. Simple print, laminate and chop the cards. Provide children with pegs to clip on to the correct starting sound or alternatively provide children with a dry wipe marker to circle the correct starting sound. Using clip cards can help your child with their fine motor skills as well as reinforcing understanding of phonics sounds. They include: - 3 pages of word shape work. - 3 pages of word searches. - 5 pages of cut the letters out to spell the words (cvc with medial a, e, i, o and u). - 3 pages of cut and paste the number that comes next. - 4 pages of cut and paste the number to complete the number sentence. - 3 pages of complete the maze and write the directions. - 2 pages of cut and paste to complete the pattern. The best thing about these resources is you can print them and go - no prep! All your children will need is a pencil, scissors and glue.

This resource includes a printable for each letter of the alphabet. The printable relates to the sound of that letter. Children need to trace the letters, practice handwriting the lower and upper case letters and then cut and stick three of the four pictures into the boxes to show the pictures that begin with that sound. You could use these as an alphabet or literacy activity in lesson time, as morning work or send home as homework.
