Use this ladybird resource as a cool way to teach younger children how to double small numbers. You could also laminate the ladybirds and make them into playdough mats for children to use playdough to make the spots on both sides.

3 simple worksheets. Children direct the boy to the school bus around this simple maze. They then need to write down the directions they have taken. You can direct children to use positional words such as up, down, right and left. Or you can direct children to use cardinal directions, North, South, East and West. Decide whether you want children to record the number of squares they have moved. (Could be linked to a lesson using beebots. )

These printables will help your children to reinforce their learning when it comes to directions. There are printables that help children to think of the directions up, down, left and right. Have your child find their way from the ship to the lighthouse around the maze and then write down the directions they took to get there. You can also use the cardinal directions of North, South, East and West. Then your child can follow the directions given by the arrows to navigate around a grid and land on different coloured squares. Your child will navigate around a nautical themed map to end up at different points then write their own directions using the four main compass point directions. Finally, help your child understand co-ordinates by having them follow the co-ordinates to draw a line to discover the shape in each grid.

These printables will support a child who is starting to learn about division. Help your child to relate the concept of division to sharing using counters and the circles to work out the divisions. Then use the task cards and the one step word problems to reinforce the concept. The product includes: - 4 worksheets where children can use counters and the circles to work out divisions - one for /2, /3, /4, and /5. - 16 task cards with a division on each one and an answer sheet for the children to record their answers. There is also an answer sheet for the teacher for the task cards so as to save time when marking the response sheets. - 3 pages of one step word problems requiring the use of division to answer the questions. 3 questions on each sheet leads to a total of 9 questions.

This resource is based on balls and would appeal to children who enjoy ball games and like their hobbies to be brought into their class work. The activities will help young children who are beginning to understand place value or older children who need some extra help and support in this area. There is a simple outline of a suggested lesson plan including an idea for a starter and ending activity. - 9 worksheets where children look at the denes squares and write down the total in a box underneath. - 6 worksheets where children look at a row of numbers and shade in all the numbers with a particular number in the hundreds, tens or units column. - 3 worksheets where children partition a number into tens and units. - 3 worksheets where children recombine partitioned numbers into one number. Tell the time puzzle pieces! Are you teaching your class how to tell the time? Do they struggle with analogue and digital times? Well this is the resource for you! Use the puzzle outlines giving the time to give your children. Ask them to find the analogue and digital clock to match the written time. There are puzzle outlines and pieces for every five minutes. The puzzles are arranged with all the puzzles for o'clock times together then five past, then ten past etc. You could use these puzzles as a cut and stick activity or you could print and laminate the pieces using velcro for a reusable activity. This resource is a pack of worksheets which helps children to add 1 and 2 digit numbers using a number line. It has an information sheet at the start of each section to help children understand what they are doing. It also has a pack ot task cards at the end which can be used in a variety of ways. A few cards could be used at the beginning or end of the lesson as a starter or plenary. The whole pack of cards could be used as an activity within the lesson. A few cards could be used as mini-plenaries within the lesson or to check understanding. A few task cards could be sent home with children as homework. This is a game that can be played with children who are learning about grocery shopping and using money. The game has: - A game board which can be printed and laminated (it could be enlarged if necessary). - 8 bingo cards with food items on. - Grocery cards to go with the bingo cards. - Price cards. (These are duplicated so that you can either use cards for pence if you are playing in the UK or cents if you are playing in the US). You will need the following additional resources to play the game: - A counter for each player. - A die. - Some pretend money or real money (I prefer to use real money). Each player will need £5/$5 in change. The aim of the game is for players to go around the game board buying food items to fill their bingo card before making their way to the central finish spot.

These activities all have a theme of balls and would be useful for children who enjoy sports related activities and like their hobbies to be brought into their work in the classroom. These activities would be useful for young children or older children with special needs who are learning about the concepts of more and less. There is a simple outline of a possible lesson with a starter and ending activity suggested. Then 3 worksheets where children have to count the balls in two sacks and circle the sack with most balls in. 3 Worksheets where children have to count balls on two sides of a box and insert the correct inequality; or = to show which side has more balls.
