This activity pack is for the traditional story - 'The Little Red Hen' It is particularly suitable for Early Years and SEN classes. It includes: - An audio power point presentation of the story. Using simplified language. (Audio only works on new versions of powerpoint) - 4 to a page sequencing cards of the entire story (you can use a subset of the cards if you prefer). - Writing pattern sheets for children who are beginning to develop writing skills. - Counting clip cards. - Playdough mats. - Mix and match matching cards. - Writing sheets with wide and narrow writing lines. - A word mat with key words from the story on with pictures to support. The items above are also available individually in my shop.

Children cut out and order the key words into the subejct, verb, object order. Children should then be encouraged to read the words aloud to reinforce the correct order of words in English sentences. This pack is for children who are starting to use 3 key words in their speech or are starting to write 3 key words in their writing. There are 3 worksheets looking at numbers to 10. 3 worksheets looking at a and 2 digit numbers and 2 worksheets looking at numbers up to 3 digits. - 8 worksheets where children cut and paste the number that comes next. 3 of these look at numbers to 10, 3 at numbers up to 2 digits and 2 at numbers up to 3 digits. - 3 worksheets where children partition a number into tens and units. - 6 worksheets where children look at 3 digits they are given and then rearrange them to make the smallest possible number and the largest possible number.
