A resource aimed at encouraging younger children to think about their emotions - and those of others, to develop a sense of empathy.
Three different activities, showing a young girl being sad, happy and worried, with discussion points designed to challenge young childrens' perceptions.
Each activity has discussion points to develop language and discussion skills.
A collection of FOUR quality images that are designed to engage students in discussion with a view to developing listening skills.
The four starters are -
- What's Your Worst Nightmare (Food? Anxiety? Parents? School?)?;
- Should Homework Be Banned?
- Fast Food or Healthy?;
- Should We Get Paid For Good Work?
Each encourages students to collaborate - in pairs or small groups, make notes and plan a response that can be shared with the larger group.
A wonderfully useful set of sheets for children to use in all manner of writing styles and genres, this pack contains -
- An A4 sheet of sentence starters, covering speech, using adverbs, rhetorical questions and short sentences;
- An A4 sheet for children to jot down their thoughts around concepts such as useful synonyms, adjectives, similes and rhetorical questions they might use;
