Vocabulary Work
Before the actual reading of the text for each lesson, specific words or phrases have been identified in the text and highlighted with definitions so that children are aware of their meaning / context before coming across them in the Skellig book. Conversations, images and challenges are also included in these vocabulary slides.
Reading Time
Slides are included which explain the amount of text that needs to be read during each individual lesson. This is usually 1 or 2 chapters worth of reading and can be done by the teacher themselves, the children, group of children, or a mixture of everyone.
