This lesson covers the classification of animals; mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish from the Year 1 Science curriculum:
identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals
identify and name a variety of common animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals)
It also includes omnivores, herbivores, carnivores, vertebrates and invertebrates. You can decide to include these depending on your class age and ability.
