This was an end of year task. Children write about what they have enjoyed, their favourite memory, what they are good at, what they need to get better and what they want to be when they are older. They also draw a picture of themselves.

We talked about valuing the achievements of our peers as well as our own. We held a circle time and complimented the person sat next to us. We then completed the worksheet. Lower - drew pictures of what they were good at (football, writing etc) Middle - wrote key words independently Top - printed it out as A3 - drew lines to write full sentences on.

My Memory Jar Children take part in a circle time activity to discuss what ‘memory’ means. The children take it in turns to ask each other the question. They answer the question. Then children record their answers on the table. Valentine’s Day - Numeracy Provision Activity mats for the numeracy area in the provision. Children need to make the correct number of hearts out of play dough. Children need to build a tower of cubes to match the number on the heart. Hearts on numbers - order numbers

We wrote sounds on cups/milk lids. We laminated these mats and children had to match the inital sound to the picture.

My Reception children spent half a term learning about caterpillars and butterflies. We learned Makaton actions to the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We watched a makaton video on YouTube. My class wanted to use some of the actions for the minibeasts, and then chose their own actions for other parts of the story. We learned Makaton actions for minibeasts - Mr Tumble CBBC video on YouTube. We painted the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We used this script which includes the songs that we used. We found all of the songs on YouTube and learned them during snack time. The class assembly lasted 10-15 minutes.

My Year 1 class worked in groups to complete a TASC wheel. Contains the powerpoint we used to discuss the different sections of the TASC wheel. Also contains the worksheet they used to design their dinosaur. We printed out the TASC wheel from A4 to A3 for each group to work on.
