Although structured in boxes for smaller answers it encourages students to think about the structure of their stories. Can also be adapted for higher ability students with the use of more probing questions or with added vocabulary for students with further needs.

GCSE Poetry Revision Mat

(0)
Used for my Set 1 GCSE class - some 'generic' advice for approaching comparison of both their anthology poems and the unseen poetry section. There is also a list of poetic devices/subject terminology with their definitions and a break down of the aspects of form, structure and language that students should focus their analysis on. As it was aimed at my particular students I have included a section on writing about the EFFECT of the features/techniques that they identify as it's often overlooked.

On the reverse side - there is a focused spelling correction sheet that can serve as a more organised way of having students correct their spellings instead of being messily corrected throught their books.
