There are three 50 minute number lessons included in this lesson plan. Students will complete scavenger hunts for prime and factor numbers, and there are differentiated bronze, silver and gold questions for rounding, multiplication and division. There are also exam style questions for the multiplication and division section of the lesson. The lesson plan includes lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities and homework. The detailed power point supports the lesson plan.

There are two bingo games included in this resource. One is a multiplication bingo game, and one is a division bingo game. Students will be asked to write the sums down on their bingo cards, and the teacher will issue the answer (which is presented on screen). If the answer matches the sum on their bingo game, they cross the sum off their card. You could also swap the slides around so that the answers are what students write on their bingo cards and the questions are asked by the teacher.

This resource includes 3 power point slides for an Autumn Term Focus Display where kind words and kind actions are the focus areas. There are suggested words that we could all say to encourage us all to use kind words and demonstrate kind actions. The Spring Term Focus also has 3 power point slides and the focus areas here are accepting difference and personal responsibility. These also have suggestions as to how we can achieve these key areas. You can swap the focus areas around depending upon school priorities in place.

This staff CPD resource looks at how non-verbal behaviour management strategies can be used to promote positive behaviour and avoid confrontation. The CPD looks at how red, amber and green cards can be used within a lesson, as well as how routine can be a great behaviour management tool when your routines are established. Staff will be asked to create an action plan based on the ideas from the workshop where they focus on one class. There are also reminder cards included as to how red, amber, green cards could be used to achieve a whole staff consistent approach. These can be adaped to suit your setting.

This CPD focuses on areas of managing behaviour for positive outcomes from a teaching and learning perspective. The focus areas are: the environment, engagement, differentiation and rewards. There is a worksheet that each member of staff can have to record ideas, and at the end of the workshop each member of staff would complete a promise postcard where they promise to try one of the ideas. These postcards will be collected at the end of the workshop, and returned to staff at the end of the term so they can evaluate their personal progress and review impact.

This staff CPD session focuses on the importance of role modelling to ensure a positive and calm environment can be achieved. Staff will be asked some thought provoking questions where they will need to reflect upon their own practice. This CPD is about self-reflection. This power point was created to show how SEND Learners can be individually tracked ensuring clear targets and monitoring. The rationale is explained, and this can be delivered to SEN specialist teams or adapted for Faculties / Departments / Pastoral Teams. The CPD has been spilt into two sections which include: 1 - To embed a tracking system to monitor progress 8 leading to a robust and measurable intervention programme for SEN students in Years 7 – 11. 2 – To maximise outcomes through developing SEN Teaching and Learning provision, including the use of LSA’s.
