Help Dr Bones identify the body parts in his X-ray pictures. This Google Slides whole-class activity is a fun and interactive way to build on pupils’ knowledge of the human skeleton at lower KS2 (year 3 in particular). Pupils see each picture, identify the body part/bones, and see if they were right on the next slide. This presentation consists of 23 slides and includes real x-ray images of the skeletal system. Set your class the challenge of completing 7 days of kindness! Ideal for a World Kindness Day activity, or for a school kindness week or month. Print an activity sheet for each child. There are 3 activity templates in this bundle: Fill a cup of kindness Fill a bucket of kindness Create a rainbow of kindness For each of the next 7 days they will try to complete an act of kindness. For each one, they can colour in a stripe on their bucket/rainbow/cup (starting at the bottom), and write what they did. These fun cut-and-paste foldable sequencing activities are a fun way to learn or review some examples of the life cycle of a bird. A cross between a worksheet and a science craft, these hands-on resources cover 4 bird life cycles - a penguin, owl, chicken and flamingo. Each foldout breaks down the life cycle into 4 parts (the penguin and owl also have a 6 part option). The differentiated template options make this a versatile resource to use for science in KS1 or lower KS2. Life cycle of a chicken templates Pupils colour, cut and fold their template. The words used are egg, embryo, chick and chicken, As above but using the words egg, egg hatching, chick and chicken. Pupils colour their template, cut out the life cycle words, glue them in order onto the template, cut and fold. Uses same vocabulary as template 1. As above but with the same vocabulary as template 2. Pupils colour their template, sequence the life cycle labels, glue, cut and fold. Life cycle of a penguin templates 1: 4-part life cycle with the option to sequence either words with pictures, or descriptions with pictures. 2: 6-part life cycle with the option to sequence either words with pictures, or descriptions with pictures. Life cycle of a flamingo templates 1: Children colour the life cycle stages, match the words to the pictures, glue, cut and fold. 2: As above but with a straight cutting edge. 3: Children colour the life cycle stages, sequence the stages, glue, cut and fold. There are 6 designs in this set. Each is bright and colourful and features an animal in a flower pot (to represent growth). This resource is included as a PDF to print and hand write, and as a PowerPoint. Use the PowerPoint to insert text boxes in a chosen certificate, save as an image and then email to a pupil. A fun activity for early readers at home or school. This resource looks at 4 consonant digraphs - sh, ch, wh, and th (at the beginning of words). The finished foldouts look great in an interactive notebook. For each sound, there is a template that children can use to make their foldout. Firstly they will colour the letters and pictures. Next, they’ll cut out the 4 words and match them to each picture before sticking them down. Pupils will then cut around the outside of the template before folding along the vertical lines. The foldable mini-book can then be closed to show just the letters, then carefully opened to reveal what’s inside. Some children may require extra adult support with cutting or folding. This resource is 11 pages and contains 2 different templates per digraph. There are also written instructions and, a picture showing how to fold. Templates should be printed landscape. Get to know your pupils with these fun ‘all about me’ foldable activities. Each one is designed to be coloured, completed with words and pictures, cut, and folded. No glue required! Once folded, bring the 2 halves together to show the main images, and pull apart to reveal what’s inside! Each resource has UK and US versions. There are 4 sets in this bundle: Self-portrait foldables Children can pick the design that best matches their hairstyle. They then draw eyes, eyebrows, skin/hair colour, and lips, creating a self-portrait! The inside prompts them to add some information about themselves - name, age, favourite colours, something that makes them smile, and something they are good at. Space theme foldable activity In this set, each foldable displays a different letter so that students can complete one that matches the first letter of their name. The inner sections of the foldable have meaningful questions on an outer space theme as follows: -Captain… (children insert their name here) -Age -Things I love to the moon and back -I’m a star at… (for children to tell you what they are good at) -My mission is to get better at… (for children to let you know areas that they might need extra help and support).
