Hi, I'm a school nursery teacher in the U.K. The majority of my resources are aimed at year one children and year one objectives as I previously taught KS1. However, I have recently moved back into EYFS and absolutely love it! I hope I can save you some of your valuable planning time. Love from Mrs Singh x

Hi - This was a quick unit that I created on riddles for my Year One class.
ALL on ACTIVE INSPIRE so please DO NOT PURCHASE if you do not have active inspire.
First we focused on food riddles and then moved to animal riddles.
As I had to sort this quickly, the planning isn’t perfect. This is reflected in the low price. However, it can definitely be used as a base and for some ideas if you are stuck!
I hope it helps you a little
Thanks

Thank you
Editable power points and sheets. A weeks worth of literacy lessons to create a missing poster for Nala from the Lion King.
This was made for my year one class during school closure so I have some children home learning and some children in school hence the unusual questions about looking around your house, on the slides, but you can adapt them to fit your class.
This bundle includes a small powerpoint to support the children receiving a letter from Santa. I have included my letter into this bundle, along with the envelope, however I will say that I downloaded it from free website! I will try to make this bundle therefore reflect that.
All items included in the bundle are editable.
Simple yet effective task for children to sequence the main events from The Ugly Duckling. Editable resource and perfect for EYFS, early Year 1 and SEND.
You could ask the children to write key words or a sentence to match each picture.
Editable powerpoint with the RWI set 1 sounds (alphabet only). Each slide contains the flash card and the corresponding capital letter.
Created as a letter formation practise lesson but you could use it however you like.
Two editable power points. The first one is designed to introduce question marks for the first time (what do they look like, why do we use them, where do they go, etc) and the second one is designed to re-cap that lesson, either a few days or a week later. There are no tasks within this bundle but I do have other question mark activities for sale if you would like to check those out. These powerpoints are more of a whole class input.
Hi. This bundle includes a full planning for a setting description unit, based on Pride Rock from the Lion King. It is editable and created on powerpoint and word.
The lesson sequence is as follows;
Lesson 1 - gather adjectives to describe a setting
Lesson 2 - WAGOLL and features
Lesson 3 - use senses to generate ideas
Lesson 4 - include adjectives
Lesson 5 - use ‘and’ to extend / join
Lesson 6 - improve a piece of text
Lesson 7 - plan a draft setting description
Lesson 8 - big write
I hope you find this useful and it saves you some valuable planning time!
Hello,
This resource is an editable activity to support children to identify their own feelings and emotions. It will be useful for wellbeing sessions perhaps when returning to school after closure, or part of circle time, PHSE, etc.
Children colour and design the monsters, enabling opportunity to discuss which colours represent which feleings, and how this may differ from child to child. The activity then requires them to explain their feelings in a little more depth, at a level that is suitable for them.
I carried out this activity with my year one class in the summer term and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Key Stage 1 / Year One - English writing bundle based on The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
I have made this high quality resource editable so that you can adapt to meet your children’s needs or change to school font.
The bundle covers a wide range of year 1 objectives with a grammar and punctuation assessment to use at the end of the bundle or on it’s own. The bundle has been designed to be taught in any order, therefore could also be great for homework tasks. The resources for the lessons could also be stand alone, just like the assessment.
It could be used as a unit for English writing, there is enough for over two weeks or just choose the objectives that you would like to cover.
The bundle includes:
• Design your own invitation
• Make predictions about a story
• Reading comprehension
• Sequencing events in a story (pictures)
• Sequencing events in a story (writing sentences to match)
• Talk for Writing creating a text map
• Talk for Writing remaking / writing own version of the story
• Using adjectives to describe a character
• Using question marks
• Writing a shopping list
• Grammar and Punctuation assessment / quiz

High Quality and editable! If your current class story is The Tiger Who Came to Tea, or your class would benefit from writing questions, this is a great resource for you.
I have created a high quality task, requiring children to write questions after finding it difficult to find suitable resources online. The task requires children to write at least three questions to be able to complete the activity. There are images from the story to prompt ideas. I have created wide line spaces to support our little learners.

Set of two editable SPaG / Grammar quizzes suitable for year 1, KS1, spring / summer teacher assessment. They could also be used as an in class activity or home work sheet as an overall grammar recap / revision task. The quizzes both require children to write a simple sentence about a given picture, write the corresponding capital letter to match a given lower case letter and correct / rewrite two or three sentences with SPaG mistakes. One quiz also features a red word / common exception word question, and an ‘s’ Vs ‘es’ suffix question. The other looks at the prefix ‘un’ and suffix ‘ed’.
Created as an editable word document so that you can adapt and modify should you wish.
This Lion King themed resource is a perfect introduction to adjectives for year one children, or a recap for year two children.
The resource features Scar, a character from the Lion King, where children can write their chosen adjective to describe and then colour in the image, should they wish.
This could be used as a homework work sheet / task, or task for in lesson. Furthermore, I have uploaded the sheet as an editable word document so that you can adapt it to meet the needs of your children. It could also be adapted to feature a standard lion image (rather than Scar) as part of a science lesson, fitting the theme of animals including humans.
The Lion King theme was based on the Commando Joe topic curriculum for year one, linked to Africa and animals including humans.
