This free download contains 8 cards aligned with the year 2 mathematics curriculum. The taster collection focuses on 4 cards linking to:
-The number objectives
-The addition and subtraction objectives.
All children need to do is pick a card, linked to their current or previous learning, scan the QR code and it takes them to a game linking to the objective written to the card at the bottom.
These cards are a great way to help children cement concepts and act as an extension activity in your planning.

This download contains 4 different exit cards, appropriate for all primary ages to act as AFL at the end of lessons or topics of learning. The exit tickets vary in asking children to write three things which have been learned, to circle the comment which applies to how they are feeling about the topic, write a goal for next lesson and colour in which face they are feeling and why. All you need to do is select which page you would like to print and how many copies you need printing. Top Tip #1- Print a bumper stack of exit cards off at the start of the year and you’ll be ready to use them throughout the year without having to worry about which AFL strategy is being used to do… You know… ready for those surprise observations!

Do you want a fun, quick and easy bank of activities for your pupils to delve into when they complete their work? If the answer is yes then this download is perfect for you! All children need to do is write as many words which rhyme with the word written down on one of the 20 cards available in this download. This is the perfect way for children to expand their vocabulary and practice their spelling. Children could further engage with this activity by researching the words online or by using a thesaurus.

High quality book talk is imperative in supporting a reading for pleasure attitude in our pupils. These questions provide a prompt for rich discussion questioning children’s perspectives on the book and what they like or dislike about it.

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to engage your pupils in practicing the common exception words? If the answer is yes then look no further than this phonics snakes and ladders download. This free download comes with 6 different game boards for children to practice words which are phonologically difficult or impossible to decode. All you need is a dice and counters. This is a lovely way to encourage children to support each other with their phonics knowledge and application to verbalise a variety of words to increase their language acquisition. Perfect as a quick warm up game, plenary or pre-prepared activity for fast finishers.
Top Tip #1- Laminate the game boards so that they can be reused year after year!
Top Tip #2- If you want to challenge your pupils and get them embedding the words within their speech after each roll of the dice challenge them to come up with a sentence that includes the word they landed on… After all a child will never write the word if they haven’t read and spoken the word first.

Do you have a reversible emotion octopus in your class? If so then this is the perfect download for you to display to the children the purpose of the octopus. This download contains a mini-poster introducing the octopus, where you can write in their name once printed and describes how they watch the class and will frown if the behaviour does not follow the class rules.
