Christian Denominations and the Reformation: You will identify different groups within Christianity and reasons for their existence. You will do this by examining Martin Luther and the Reformation. Within this we will examine reasons for these groups and their similarities and differences in belief and practices. I do not own the starter resource this is from another TES authory- A to B question matrix and so has been deleted from the lesson but description added at the start Plenary is also based on a template provided by @MrFitzhistory and he provides his templates for free on Twitter- I will put this on for free on a separate post

Lesson planned as part of a year 8 SOW. It includes a lesson overview/ plan slide and begins looking at what students already know about India. It covers key terms, some geographical points about the origins of Hinduism and an ATS style video worksheet. The relfection task is based on Tom Holts writing/ talk on the ‘‘messiness of religion’’ and was recently shared by Tom on his social media.

Done with set 1 year 8 classes. One class took two lessons to complete and the other took 1. You focus on situation ethics and how this can be applied to moral decision making and then are assigned a moral standpoint to complete the silent debate. Use of different coloured pens shows which stand point they have to write/ argue from.
