Complete self contained PowerPoint lesson on Density, part of the AQA particles of matter unit. Aimed at KS4 pupils (14-16) but is also suitable for KS5 BTEC applied science level 3. Can be used in the lead up to the density required practical. Lesson is designed to get pupils to recall and apply their knowledge in a clear and concise way. Utilising low stake quizzing to help transfer new information from working memory to long term memory. 45 min-1 hour lesson 38 slides Lesson objectives: Define density and state the units. Measure the density of a solid or a liquid. Calculate density with the mass and volume of an object.
