A Halloween Sorting Activity.
This activity involves sorting spotty/stripy hats into groups.
The worksheet activity can be set according to ability.
A great introductory activity is to make hats for the class to wear using black card
(the students can decorate with spots, stripes or both).
If you use the hats, students could enjoy sorting themselves into ‘life-sized’
diagrams/charts – in the playground, large indoor space. I have used chalk outside in
previous lessons. It also makes for a good photograph for displays!
Venn, tick/tally and bar chart included.
An introduction to calculating the perimeter and area of different shapes. One worksheet shows the cm squares inside the shapes and one worksheet asks the students to work out the missing lengths before calculating the perimeter and area.
Enjoy using these worksheets to introduce or consolidate knowledge of coordinates. Students will need to read coordinates to find letters to make missing words (items you can find in a classroom). I included an activity using coordinates in the first quadrant and another using all four quadrants. The answers are the same for both activities. Answer sheets are included.
A park themed Pythagorean theorem activity. Use the theorem to calculate the distances between different points on the map.
I have included
one colour map.
one question sheet.
one answer sheet.

A Halloween worksheet activity.
Solve the 2-digit column addition problems before cracking the code and answering the Halloween riddle!
