The Solid Caravan Company is planning to sell some avant garde caravans of different mathematical shapes but need to put each design's capacity in the brochure in cubic metres. Can you help calculate the volume in each case? Cube, cuboid, cylinder, triangular prism, square-based pyramid and cone shapes used. (The maximum width has to be 2.9m to avoid requiring a police escort for being a "wide load" by the way).

Five topics from C2 - a question on each. The students have 3 options to choose from, then scan the appropriate QR code (which takes them to a song or artist with a number in the title). Once they have all five correct answers they can "defuse the bomb" with the code. All QR codes scan to a song or artist with a number in them so they can't cheat. I have done some worked solutions too.

One of my Year 10s suggested doing something to do with ice cream cones, so here it is. A functional/real life question involving sectors of circles in a logo design and whether the design is affordable. Involves perimeter and area of sectors.

Construct the shapes Deputy Crimes needs for the tools he wants to aid his survival as well as cutting a couple of things in half using only a ruler and a protractor.

The survivors have found some mathematically shaped islands which are zombie free. Find the area and perimeter of the islands to see how many people can live on them and how much fencing is needed to keep zombies out. Rectangles, triangle, parallelogram, trapezium, circle and compound shapes involved.

Decide which buildings are free from zombies (shufflers and nibblers) by using knowledge of congruence and similarity to help Deputy Nick Crimes. The PowerPoint has basic animations (the answers basically) as it was exported from Notebook, but I've no doubt you can add some if you like. There's a worksheet if the students need it.

Factorise then solve the anagrams for a film - pretty straightforward and sheet 2 is harder than sheet 1 with coefficients of x squared being greater than 1. Correct file now there!
