Animal Farm English Literature GCSE Grade 9-1
This is a pack of various exam questions:

Each pack contains an exam question, planning grids, lines to write the exam answer and the Edexcel mark scheme (could easily be swapped for the mark scheme of any exam board.
There is also a powerpoint for the Inequality essay that walks them through how to construct a great paragraph step by step. It gives examples and how to develop and improve these. There is also a slide on Orwell’s intentions that students can use for many different essays. A sample introduction and paragraph on equality has also been included that is colour coded with the exam criteria - this shows students how to construct a successful paragraph for their essays.
English Language Paper 2 Question 5 AQA
This is a complete unit of work based on English Language Paper 2 Question 5 for AQA. It hits on relevant and controversial topics such as national lock downs, mental health and the effects that Covid 19 has had on education and the economy. The students find it very engaging as these are topics they can form strong opinions on and discuss in detail.
There are 6-10 lessons (depending on pace), each with its own power point and all resources. The unit slowly builds on the writing skills needed: persuasive writing, using and spelling ambitious vocabulary, structuring writing and punctuation. The spelling booklet coincides with the sample answers and are integrated in to the lessons so that students can use them directly in their work.

An Inspector Calls - Key Quotation Revision
Struggling to get your students to remember key quotations from the play? This pack includes:
A booklet of fully analysed quotations that link to themes and characters;
Images to help dual code flashcards and prompt memory for visual learners;
Flashcard templates for students to complete for revision.
The images are great for retrieval tasks and really help students memorise the quotations. Students can use the booklet to independently make flashcards as all the information is there!

Macbeth Unit of Work
Shakespeare should be seen and acted to really understand his intentions. This complete unit is engaging, kinaesthetic and drama based. Some of the activities come from the Royal Shakespeare company. The aim of this unit is to encourage KS3 students to enjoy Shakespeare!
This unit looks at key scenes from the play and uses video to fill in the gaps (the Patrick Stewart version) and includes:

I use them for a quiz game... one student is the question master with the cards and asks the table questions based on the information. They then award the card to the student who answered the most/best. The student with the most cards at the ends winds.
AQA Language Grade 9-1 - Paper 1 - Question 2
This powerpoint takes the students through the skills needed to effectively answer this question as well as providing a helpful acronym and writing frame to support the weaker students. All extracts are provided.
The second resource is great to print as a revision poster or a learning mat to prompt students.
Can be used as a stand alone lesson, for revision, for intervention or for first teaching of this question.

AQA Poetry Antology - Power and Conflict
A booklet of comparison questions based on the AQA Power and Conflict Poetry Cluster.
Each question has a planning grid and space to write an answer and mark (peer/self/teacher).
I printed this off as a booklet and it was great for weekly homework to consolidate in class learning. It was also a great revision tool for year 11s before their exam.
Poetry Unit of Work

All the poems are collated in a handy booklet.
I have also added the assessment booklet that I used and have made it as generic as possible so that you can adapt it to your specific exam board. Every poem has an exam question so that students do a weekly piece of extended writing. Would be great as a homework booklet too!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Extract Booklet
This booklet contains a series of extracts from each chapter and exam questions to accompany these. It is written specifically for Edexcel, but is easily tweaked for any exam board by changing the mark schemes in the booklet.
It also has a writing frame, sample answer and terminology glossary within to aid students in their essay writing.
Great to accompany the reading of the text, or used for revision or as a home work booklet.
Romeo and Juliet
A selection of activities to use whilst teaching Romeo and Juliet. Appropriate for KS3 and KS4. Includes:
