New year’s resolutions task in line with unit 1 (research methods) of the OCR A level psychology specification.
Task outlines the research investigating new year’s resolutions and how often they’re kept to. Questions ask about topics such as level of data, evaluating self report, writing hypotheses, calculating chi square etc. I’ve split it into year 1 and year 2 based on our scheme of work (same scenario used) so it can be adapted based on what you’re students know.
Great recap task for the new year!
Christmas Task inspired by a cheeky elf who likes to visit!
Students will be tasked with designing a scene for the elf to be discovered in. The scene must be based on a core study and have a purpose of getting the children to do something (such as tidying their room). The rationale behind the scene must be explained next to their design. I have given 6 suggestions (Milgram, Piliavin, Bandura, Kohlberg, Loftus & Palmer and Moray) but any study may work. I’ve also added an example of a design inspired by Chaney’s study.

Powerpoint and worksheets included.
AI Core Study Quiz - Relevant to OCR A level Psychology Unit 2.
I put the titles of all 20 core studies into an AI image generator and made it into this quiz. Good take home point of not using AI as it’s rubbish and plagiarism. Extension task to get students adding lots of detail to prompts to get better images out of the AI image generators.
